under half an hour

  • 1 clove garlic clove, halved
  • 290ml/ pint white-colored wine
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 225g/8oz emmental cheese grated
  • 225g/8oz gruyre cheese grated
  • 1 teaspoon cornflour
  • 1 tablespoons of kirsch (optional)
  • cubed bread pieces, for dipping

Rub within the fondue pot using the halves of garlic clove.

Add some wine and fresh lemon juice towards the pot as well as heat until boiling. Lower heat and progressively stir within the cheeses until melted, stirring constantly.

If using kirsch, blend using the cornflour, otherwise use water. Increase the cheese mixture and prepare lightly before the mixture is smooth – don’t allow it boil or it’ll burn.

While using fondue prongs, dip the bread cubes in to the cheese and serve.
